Dragon Heart Legacy Retired
Current ranks 2nd black belt in Judo, and 1st black belt in Jujitsu 360 Self Defense. Aaron started in Shotokan Karate as teenager, then when he entered the Army as an Armored Cavalry Scout at 19, he was introduced to the art of Judo. Immediately after training he was sent off to the Gulf War, where his unit was the first on the ground in Iraq. As a result, he was subjected to chemical weapons fall out from allied bombings and long-term oil smoke exposure.
During his six years in the military Aaron drew knowledge and training from every source he could, from advanced hand to hand techniques taught to our Rangers, to monkey style kung fu. In 2009 he began a journey into Judo, under the instruction of both sensei Dieter Reitzig and Gene Twombly. Aaron immediately fell in love with the science and art of Judo, causing Arron to progress quickly as he gained a respect from his instructors and other students, as he made his journey into the black belt ranks. Aaron loved teaching and was blessed with the gift to take what he had learned and share it with others.
Sadly, just a short time after beginning his career as an instructor he was diagnosed with an incurable crippling spine condition. Aaron was forced to give up the art he loved so much and he retired.
